my NFS set-up

  • for the time being:
    • simple 1:1 implicit UID mapping
    • use the NAS UID numbering for the clients as well
    • keeps the NAS configuration simple and re-doable
    • works (almost) out of the box
  • for the better future:
    • Kerberos
